Sonia Reiter is a director and choreographer living in the San Francisco Bay Area. Recent work includes directing the Kapowski music video for "Picture of Health". Previous work includes choreographing the tUnE yArDs music video "Bizness" and choreographing and dancing in tUnE yArDs' show at the Hollywood Bowl, L.A. and the Rickshaw Stop and Great American Music Hall in S.F.
Sonia teaches dance in San Francisco Unified School District and teaches Yoga at studios and corporate offices throughout the Bay Area.
In addition to directing, choreographing and teaching Sonia writes for dance publications including "In Dance". A recent notable writing project was assisting the choreographer Meg Stuart edit the book "Are We Here Yet" which was published in English and French by Les Pres du Réel in 2009.
Sonia recieved her Bachelor of the Arts in Dance from Oberlin College in 2003. Since moving to San Francisco in 2004 she has danced with companies and choreographers including Kathleen Heremesdorf /MotionLAB, Nina Martin/ lower left and Sean Dorsey / Fresh Meat Productions. Begining in 2008 she spent a year and a half in Austria and Berlin where she danced with the repertory company "The Bodhi Project". In 2010 Sonia returned to San Francisco where she continues to teach and create.
